Clamper

BCMF Arquitetos signs the project of the administrative headquarters of CLAMPER, in Lagoa Santa, Minas Gerais. The Brazilian enterprise, founded in 1991, is one of the leading experts in research and development of solutions to protect electronics against damage caused by lightning and electrical surges. CLAMPER Surge Protection Devices have certified technology by the most reputable national and international bodies, accumulating awards related to quality and credibility of supply.

The project consists of the renovation of an existing 2 pavements building, which has become a new workspace (administrative headquarters) and which transmits, through its form and content, the ideals of the company CLAMPER. Its façade has been reconfigured to include new and wide openings that integrate the inner and outer side of the building, bringing the gardens from outside into the architectural design , as well as natural lighting.

The first floor consists of the reception and the common areas, all integrated, such as the restaurant, café and game area, reflecting the demands of the contemporary work: flexibility, decompression area, horizontality, comfort and informality, and also, according to the specific necessity program. The second floor has sets of linear work tables, sectored according to the various departments, in addition to meeting rooms with flexible layouts, private rooms, integrated kitchen and a terrace.

Both floors are connected in two ways, the first is through a staircase with double height ceiling, completely painted red, inspired by the colors present on the company’s logo, which unfolds in the other vertical circulations throughout the building. The second is through a grandstand-staircase, with wide floors that allows, besides the passage, the interaction between people. These interactive common spaces are positive because in addition to serving for pressure relief and relaxation, in the same proportion, they stimulate work and productivity.
